Wetland Services

Wetland Services

Alliance personnel are experienced in conducting field investigations. This includes the analysis of existing site topography, soils, vegetation, potential wetlands, and other environmental constraints. We can also evaluate aerial photography to locate potential wetland areas to expedite the completion of field work for large sites.

Our Services:

  • Wetland Investigations
  • Aerial Photography Interpretation
  • Wetland Delineations
  • Boundary GPS Surveys
  • Wetland Delineation Mapping
  • Jurisdictional Determinations (wetland boundary confirmation)
  • Wetland Functions and Values Assessment
  • Wetland Mitigation Monitoring

Our People:

Alliance personnel have successfully conducted hundreds of wetland delineations employing the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers 1987 Wetlands Delineation Manual. To improve efficiency in conducting wetland delineations, Alliance’s field scientists conduct GPS surveys of the wetland and stream boundaries using a differential GPS unit capable of sub-foot accuracy. Using GPS data collected from the field, Alliance can produce wetland delineation maps that can be produced in any format compatible with AutoCAD, MicroStation, or GIS. Alliance personnel have the expertise to participate in Jurisdictional Determination (JD) field meetings with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to validate the delineated wetland and stream boundaries.
